This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Hampton, Virginia.The Hampton Redevelopment & Housing Authority (HRHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 11, 2023, until May 13, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.This waiting list had the following preferences:Residency Preference: 95% of the 5,000 households placed on the waiting list will be households who qualify for the Housing Choice Voucher program’s local lease-in-place or residency preference. The remaining 5% will be awarded to any other applicant.
