The Housing Authority of the City of Marion (HACM) Public Housing waiting list is currently open, since at least March, 2019, until further notice. Waiting lists for specific communities or bedroom sizes may be closed.There are two ways to apply:Download and print the application online here. Select the "Public Housing Program Pre-Application" link.Pick up an application at the HACM office, located at 501 North Market Street Marion, IL 62959, from 8:30 am until 12:00 pm; and 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm CT.Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address above.The following documentation is required with the application: Verification of income, birth certificates, Social Security Cards, copy of marriage or divorce papers (if applicable), names and addresses of 3 personal references, names of current and previous landlords, and a letter from the doctor if a household member is pregnant.This waiting list has the following preferences: Displaced by natural disaster, displaced by government action, living in substandard housing, rent burdened, working, live or work in Marion.For more information, visit the HACM website.
