About this program
Shreve United Methodist Church Temporary Financial Assistance provides emergency financial assistance to Shreve residents who are behind on the their rent payments or facing utility disconnection due to a temporary inability to pay. Also provides gasoline vouchers. Amount of support is determined on case-by-case basis, but usually 50% of one month's rent or the minimum amount required to keep heat/power connected. Qualifications: Residents of Shreve and rural Shreve. Will be advised of income requirements. Client can receive rent and utility assistance once every 12 months, and a gas voucher once every three months.
