About this program
Home ownership program- Within the coming year, Onondaga County Community Development Division expects to have fifteen (15) to thirty (30) single family dwellings available at a subsidized price for first-time home buyers who meet program guidelines. Lead hazard reduction program- In Onondaga County. Lead hazards are often found on painted window frames, wood siding, and painted doors. Common repairs provided by the program are new windows, doors, and siding Shape up program- Shape-Up is a home repair program. Eligible homeowners can receive a maximum grant of $10,000 to cover the costs of various home repairs. Neighborhood rehabilitation program- The NRP is a grant rehabilitation program to repair privately owned residential structures in targeted low and moderate-income neighborhoods. Commercial rehabilitation program- The Commercial Program is a matching grant program up to $20,000 per building for commercial properties within designated, low-income target areas. Ramp program- The Ramp Program offers grants of up to $5,000 to install an exterior ramp and/or modify a bathroom and/or kitchen to make it easier for a disabled person to use.
