About this program
Emergency Housing Services are provided for TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families), GA (General Assistance) and SSI (Supplemental Security Income) families and individuals who are homeless due to incidents of domestic violence, fire or flood, or other similar disasters; or when there is documentation of a pending eviction or when an actual eviction has occurred. Eligible families may receive temporary shelter, and/or financial assistance to secure permanent housing or replacement of necessary items. Assistance and arrangements can be made for individuals with landlord/tenant problems. Emergency assistance with utility bills may be offered for TANF, GA, and SSI clients. Eligibility - TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families), GA (General Assistance) and SSI (Supplemental Security Income) recipients eligible for monetary benefits.
