About this program
The mission of Rockingham Community Action (RCA) is to alleviate and prevent poverty, and to promote self-reliance. HOMELESS PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION: The Homeless Housing Access Revolving Loan Fund provides an interest-free loan toward a security deposit and/or first months rent to individuals who are homeless. The Homeless Intervention Program assists the homeless with identifying shelter needs, arranging emergency transportation to shelters, and arranging alternative shelter. Utility/Housing Crisis Assistance: When funds are available, provides grants toward utilities, rent, or mortgage to prevent shut-off or foreclosure.
