The Housing Authority of Thurston County (HATC) waiting list for Section 8 Project-Based Voucher apartments at Krislen Apartments, Homes First Scattered-Site Units, and Evergreen Vista Apartments is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from January 15, 2020, until January 29, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.Please note: According to the HATC public notice, Krislen Apartments only serves, "singles or couples who are elderly or have a developmental disability."To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.This waiting list had the following preferences:Thurston County residents and to those who work in Thurston CountyFamilies with children or single pregnant individualsSingle adults or couples age 50+Victims of domestic violenceSingle adults or couples who are disabledFamilies who are homeless or at risk of homelessnessIndividuals who are transitioning out of a institutional setting or at risk of institutionalizationPreviously homeless households that are currently a client in a permanent supportive housing or rapid rehousing program.The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:1 person $29,300 | 5 persons $45,2002 persons $33,500 | 6 persons $48,5503 persons $37,700 | 7 persons $51,9004 persons $41,850 | 8 persons $55,250600 applicants were placed on the Evergreen Vista Apartments waiting list; 300 applicants were placed on the Homes First Scattered Sites waiting list; and 200 applicants were placed on the Krislen Apartments waiting list; all by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.For more information, visit the HATC website.Sources: This information was verified by the HATC website, as of December 9, 2019.
