The Bennington Housing Authority (BHA) is currently accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications. This waiting list is open indefinitely. There are two ways to apply:1. Request an application be mailed to you by calling 802-442-8000, during normal office hours.2. Visit the housing authority to pick up an application, located at 22 Willow Brook Dr., Bennington, VT 05201, during normal office hours, Monday-Friday.Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above. Be sure to include copies of these documents with your application: Birth certificates, Social Security cards, proof of all income, proof of all assets, and photo IDs for all adult household members.This housing authority does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: live and/or work in Bennington, living in substandard living conditions, or rent burden.For more information, the BHA office can be reached at 802-442-8000, during normal office hours, Monday-Friday.
