This waiting list is for Section 8 Project-Based Voucher rental housing assistance in Norfolk, Virginia.The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) last accepted Low-Income Housing Tax Credit/Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list applications for 4-Bedroom apartments at Grandy Village Revitalization from February 20, 2024, until March 19, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.Please note: According to the NRHA, "Additional eligibility criteria:Employed for past six months and working at least 15 hours per week (unless elderly or disabled household or the primary caretaker of a blind person or a disabled person as defined by the Social Security Act). Any household member who is 16 years of age and older and not attending school full time shall be employed at minimum 20 hours per week and involved in a job training or vocational program."There were two ways to apply while the waitlist was open:Complete the online application.Print the paper application that was available on the NRHA website.Once the paper application was completed, it was to be either:Mailed to the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, Attention: Occupancy Department.Hand delivered to the NRHA office.This waiting list has the following preferences:Residents of Norfolkincludes families employed in Norfolk, seniors, and those with disabilities (20 points)Workingincludes head of household or spouse or sole member who is age 62 or older or is a person with disabilities or where the head of the household is the primary caregiver for a household member with a disability. Minimum 15 work hours per week for non-elderly and applicants without disabilities.
