The Galveston Housing Authority (GHA) Public Housing waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for general applicants for two days in August, 2018; and before that for 1 Bedroom units for two days in April, 2018. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.This waiting list had the following preferences: Persons Who Live or Work Locally; Persons with Disabilities: Veterans; Working/Employed; Those Displaced by Natural Disaster; Persons in Job Training or Higher Education.Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, by order of preferences.For more information, visit the GHA website here, or call the office at (409) 765-1900.
