The Dallas Housing Authority (DHA) waiting list for Section 8 Project-Based Voucher apartments is currently open. Applications are being accepted from December 11, 2017 at 9:00 am CT, until further notice.To apply during the opening period, complete the online application here.This waiting list has the following preferences: Education PreferenceApplicants who are enrolled in and who are active students in a trade school or a college or university with a minimum of 9 credit hours per semesterHomelessThis preference shall be granted to vulnerable homeless individuals and families as identified by a DHA approved agencyWorking Family This preference is for a family or individual that has a working adult member working at least 30 hour per week for 6 consecutive months prior to admission with no period of unemployment for than 2 weeks.It is not known how selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list, weighed by order of preferences.For more information, visit the DHA website.Sources: This information was verified by the DHA website, as of January 20, 2020.
