The Abilene Housing Authority (AHA) Public Housing waiting list is currently open, since at least June, 2017, until further notice.Please note: The AHA Public Housing program offers 1, 2, 3, and 4-Bedroom units.To apply, complete the online application.This waiting list has the following preferences: Age 62 or overDisabled (Disclosure of a disability is optional, but it is necessary to receive a Disabled Preference.)MFP Program Preference - For individuals exiting institutions (hospital, nursing home, intermediate care facilities, and in limited cases psychiatric facilities)Displaced by DisasterNon-Elderly Disabled - For applicants with any family member that is disabled, age 18-61, that are in one of the following groups: 1. Transitioning out of institutional and other segregated settings, 2. At serious risk of institutionalization, 3. Homeless. 4. Or at risk of becoming homeless.
