The Housing Authority of the City of Carbondale (AHCC) is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals. This housing authority offers four public housing communities with 345 units for families and senior/disabled individuals. To apply for public housing, you must visit the office to fill out an application, located at 2 John St., Carbondale, PA during normal office hours. Be sure to bring these documents with you: birth certificates, social security cards, and photo IDs for all adult household members. All adult household members must be present when filling out the application. The HACC does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: live and/or work in the City of Carbondale, elderly, disabled, victim of domestic violence, homeless, or employed.
