The Miami Housing Authority (MHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.The MHA offers one Public Housing community with 222 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studios to 3 bedrooms.There are two ways to apply:Visit the MHA office to pick up a pre-application, located at 205 B Street NE, Miami, Oklahoma 74354, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm CT, Monday-Friday.Request to have a pre-application mailed to you by calling (918) 542-6691 from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, photo IDs for all adult household members, and proof of all income.The MHA does not have a preference.Qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by the date and time the pre-application is received.As of December 2015, the wait time for Public Housing is approximately 8 months.For more information, call the MHA office at (918) 542-6691 from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
