The Truth or Consequences Housing Authority (TCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open until further notice. There are three ways to apply: Visit the TCHA to pick up a pre-application, located at 108 S. Cedar Street, Truth or Consequences, NM 87901, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm MT; and 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Request to have a pre-application mailed to you by calling (575) 894-2244 Ext. 21 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm; and 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Download a pre-application online here, then print and complete. Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm; and 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Birth certificates, Social Security Cards, proof of all income, photo IDs for all adult household members, and marriage license if applicable.
