The Columbia Housing Authority (CHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for five days in October, 2018; and before that for five days in June, 2015. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.There were two ways to apply during the opening period:Download and print the application online.Pick up an application at the CHA office.Once the paper application has been completed, it must have been hand delivered to the CHA office by October 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm.This waiting list had the following preferences: Working, Elderly, Disabled, Honorably Discharged Veteran.Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.For more information, visit the CHA website here, or call the office at (573) 443-2556.
