The Winona Housing and Redevelopment Authority (WHRA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open from August 2017 until March 2018; and before that in August 2014. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to download and print the application, Police Record Verification form, and preference form (if applicable).This waiting list had the following preferences: Veteran; single elderly household; single disabled household; single displaced household; working 20 hours per week; live, work, or hired to work in Winona County; elderly and disabled families at Schaffner Homes and Valley View Tower (if there are no elderly or disabled households, this preference will be given to near-elderly households between the ages of 50 and 62 years old).It is not known how to submit the application, or how applicants were placed on the waiting list.
