The Port Huron Housing Commission is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior (50+)/disabled individuals. This Housing Commission has over 400 public housing apartments in five different communities located throughout Port Huron. For Families: Dulhut Villages is a 90 unit family community with 8 one bedrooms, 30 two bedrooms, 32 three bedrooms, 16 four bedrooms, and 4 five bedrooms. Gratiot Village is a 59 unit family community with 8 one bedroom, 20 two bedrooms, 24 three bedrooms, 6 four bedrooms, and 1 five bedroom. Huron Village is a 59 unit family community with 4 one bedrooms, 20 two bedrooms, 26 three bedrooms, 8 four bedrooms, and 1 five bedroom. For Seniors: All Communities have emergency pull cords, and a secured entrance. Must be 50+ to be eligible for the senior apartments. Desmond village is a 108 senior/disabled community with 18 studio apartments, 84 one bedrooms, and 6 two bedrooms. Peru Village is a 97 unit community with 12 studio apartments, 80 one bedroom, and 5 two bedrooms. Once the application has been completed you can mail or hand deliver it to the above address.
