This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in City of Detroit and Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Lapeer, and St. Clair County, Michigan.The Detroit Housing Commission (DHC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from February 3, 2020, until February 5, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.In addition, in early September 2024, the Housing Authority has announced it will cease issuing new vouchers due to a funding shortage.
