The Housing Authority of the City of Sulphur (HACS) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open until further notice. To apply, visit the HACS to submit a pre-application in person, located at 312 Brook St., Sulphur, LA 70663, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am CT; and 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, Monday-Thursday. Be sure to bring these documents when applying: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all members of the household, photo IDs for all adult household members, and Social Security award letter (if applicable). All adults must be present when applying. The HACS does have a preference for: Working families, elderly, or disabled individuals.
