The Lawrence-Douglas County Housing Authority (LDCHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled individuals. The LDCHA offers two Public Housing communities with 363 units for families and senior/disabled individuals. There are two ways to apply:Visit the LDCHA to pick up a pre-application, located at 1600 Haskell Avenue, Lawrence, KS 66044, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm CT, Monday-Friday.Download a pre-application online here, then print and complete.Once the pre-application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above. Be sure to include copies of these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards, government issued IDs for all adult household members, proof of all income, three months of bank statements, medical verification of pregnancy (if applicable), debts owed to Public Housing form signed by all adult household members, residential history for all adult household members, court custody papers or a notarized letter from the parents stating custody (if applicable).
