About this waiting list

The New Albany Housing Authority (NAHA) is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals. The NAHA offers four communities with 1,074 units for families and senior/disabled individuals. To apply for public housing you can download the application here, then print and complete. Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the NAHA office, located at 300 Erni Ave., New Albany, IN 47150, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 11:00 am. Be sure to include these documents with your application: social security cards, birth certificates, proof of all income, proof of all assets, photo IDs for all adult household members, bank statements, and child support order. The NAHA does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: elderly, disabled, involuntarily displaced, substandard living conditions, employed, enrolled in an educational or job training program, established rental record, or a veteran. More information can be found by visiting the NAHAwebsite at http://newalbanyhousingauthority.org/, or by calling 812-948-2319 Monday-Friday during normal office hours.
