The Housing Authority of Joliet (HAJ) 1-Bedroom Public Housing waiting list for Elderly (62+), Near-Elderly (50-61) and Disabled households is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from July 8, 2019, until December 31, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.There were two ways to apply during the opening period:Complete the online application.Pick up an application at the HAJ office.Once the application was completed, it must have been either:Postmarked by December 31, 2019; and mailed to the Housing Authority of Joliet.Dropped off at the HAJ office front desk.This waiting list had the following preferences: Resident of Joliet, Elderly and Disabled.Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, after sorting preferences.For more information, visit the HAJ website.
