The Housing Authority of Americus (HAA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals. The HAA offers seven Public Housing communities with 479 units for families and senior/disabled individuals. To apply, visit the HAA to pick up an application, located at 825 Mayo St., Americus, GA 31709-2627, from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm EDT, Monday-Thursday. Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm, Monday-Thursday. Be sure to include these documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of all income, photo IDs for all adult household members, and criminal background check document signed for each adult household members.
