This waiting list is for Senior Public Housing rental housing assistance in Bristol, Connecticut.The Bristol Housing Authority (BHA) Senior Public Housing waiting list for 1-Bedroom apartments is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from July 17, 2020, until August 7, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.There were two ways to apply during the opening period: Print the online paper application.Pick up an application from the BHA.Once the application was completed, it must be postmarked between July 17, 2020 until August 7, 2020 and mailed to the Bristol Housing Authority.This waiting list had the following preferences:Victims of Domestic Violence (11 points)- A preference will be given for a family that includes a family member who is a victim of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking who is in actual or imminent threat of harm.Homeless (10 points) – A preference will be given to a family who is homeless in accordance with the McKinney-Vento Act. Referral letter, on letterhead, from an authorized representative of the local Continuum of Care Consortium (COCC)Non-elderly disabled (5 points) – A preference will be given to a family where the head/co-head or spouse is disabled.Veterans (1 point) – A preference will be provided for an existing family member who has an honorable discharge from the U.S. Armed Forces for active military service.Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.For more information, visit the BHA website.Sources: This information was verified by the BHA, as of July 8, 2020.
