This waiting list is for Public Housing rental housing assistance in Fultondale, Alabama.The Jefferson County Housing Authority (JCHA) last accepted Public Housing waiting list applications for apartments at Brookside Village, Fultondale Village, Hickory Grove and Red Hollow apartments from July 31, 2023, until August 14, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.There were two ways to apply while the waiting list was open:Print the paper application.Pick up the application from the Jefferson County Housing Authority (Fultondale Office).Once the application was completed, applicants were required to call JCHA to make an appointment to return the application.This waiting list had the following preferences:Displaced person(s)Individuals or families displaced by government action or whose dwelling has been extensively damaged or destroyed as a result of a disaster declared or otherwise formally recognized pursuant to Federal Disaster Relief Laws.Applicants with an adult family member currently working 30 hours a week.This preference is also extended equally to all elderly families and all families whose head or spouse is receiving income based on their inability to work.Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, by order of preferences.For more information, visit the JCHA website.Sources: This information was verified by the JCHA public notice on July 18, 2023.
