Location: 2912 South 17th Street, Arlington, VA History: Originally built of cinder block on a concrete slab in 1952, the former Christine Apartments were an eyesore in the community. Wesley Housing purchased the property in January 1986 for $250,000. All units were reconstructed, including new roof, hot water system, individually metered heating and cooling, energy efficient windows, new vinyl siding, kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring. Wesley Housing renamed the complex to honor Mr. Perry S. Hall for his efforts to obtain water, sewer, and lights for the Nauck neighborhood. The total renovation cost $485,000 was completed in March 1987. Wesley Housing celebrated its outright ownership of Perry S. Hall Apartments on June 10, 2003 with a \"Mortgage Burning\" party.
