Our organization is a designated Neighborhood Preservation Company (NPC) by the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR).Carroll Gardens Association, Inc. develops affordable/workforce housing and provides economic development, workforce training, youth services, tenant services and benefits assistance to the residents of Southwest Brooklyn, including the neighborhoods of Red Hook, the Columbia Street Waterfront District, Carroll Gardens, Gowanus and Sunset Park. Whether it is providing computer training, helping tenants fill out application forms for subsidized housing (Section 8 and Housing Authority), or assisting seniors to secure home care services, Carroll Gardens Association has been a resource to the community for more than four decades. CGA provides tenant services, benefits assistance and referral services to nearly 1,200 individuals annually.
