Units for Residential/Transitional housing which provides long-term transitional housing for homeless persons living with HI V/AIDS. Funded through the HUD Housing for Persons With AIDS (HOP WA) program, it provides support groups, computer classes, GED preparation, case management services (various collaboration), and provides meals to their residential population, Mathew's Place has served over 600 persons since inception in 1994.Luke's Place; - Luke's Place is substance abuse recovery home that houses men recovering from chemical dependence and or, men who have been referred by the correctional system in lieu of incarceration. The 25-bed facility provides a systematic program of recovery through support groups, family education, relapse prevention counseling and a recovery activity center. Certified addiction counselors, experienced peer support counselors and volunteers staff the program. Luke's Place served over 2750 since inception in 1994.Ruth's Place: - Ruth's Place is a transitional housing facility designed for women recovering for chemical dependencies. In cooperation with the Salvation Army-Detox and their 28-day treatment program and the Atlanta Ladies Union Mission, Ruth's Place offers a well-rounded approach to housing for women in recovery by providing life-management support services, counseling and medical care coordination. Participants receive job training and are given part-time assignments to enhance their skills. More than 575 women have been served since the program's inception in 1992.Joba's Christian Recovery Home: - Opened in May 2002 to provide long term substance recovery services and housing for men with minor disabilities.Residents receive legal assistance, social support and counseling services as well as medical/mental health referrals.Since inception 16 persons have been services.
