Hours of operation: Monday through Thursday 7:30AM-12:00PM 12:30PM - 5:30PM Office is closed at 11:00 am on the last business day of the month 7:30 to 9:30 on the Second and Fourth Tuesdays of each month. We are closed on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Fort Walton Beach Housing Authority provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of programs such as Low Rent Public Housing ans the Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8. These programs are income based and the eligibility guidelines are set by HUD. There may be a waiting list for vouchers or rentals and at times these lists may close to new applicants based on the overwhelming need for housing assistance and the size of and length of wait on the lists. If you are in need of assistance in the area please contact the Housing Authority directly to obtain more information about program eligibility requirements, availability of assistance, the status of any waiting lists and their application procedures. Their office is available Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm to assist you.They are closed from Noon - 1:00pm for lunch.At the time of this listings last update , July 2011, the Authority's website stated that they were accepting Public Housing Applications at their office during normal business hours and their HCV - Section 8 waiting list was closed.
